Accounts Receivable/Cashier Clerk

Job Type: Full-Time (Direct Hire)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM (100% in-office)
Location:  West Henrietta, NY
Pay: $19-21 /hour

About the Opportunity

TES Staffing is currently seeking an Accounts Receivable/Cashier Clerk to join our client's team! This position is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounts receivable process, assisting customers and internal staff with account questions, processing payments, and handling daily cash and banking responsibilities.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with numbers, and enjoys a mix of accounting, customer service, and administrative responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Reconcile invoices and post customer payments to accounts receivable records
• Respond to customer and internal inquiries regarding accounts, invoices, and payments
• Research and resolve account discrepancies and disputed charges
• Prepare and mail invoice copies and customer statements
• Research and process chargebacks, returns, and NSF checks
• Follow up on customer defaults and assist with compliance
• Prepare daily sales and delinquency reports for sales representatives
• Set up new customer accounts and maintain current customer/license information
• Maintain promotional pricing and daily pricing records
• Cash in delivery drivers and process payments for daily bank deposits
• Key and process sales samples and inventory adjustments
• Track product breakage and out-of-code inventory
• Work closely with team members to resolve issues and assist with special projects
• Perform other related duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

• Previous accounts receivable, cash handling, bookkeeping, or related accounting experience preferred
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Comfortable working with numbers and financial records
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating with a team
• Associate degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred
