Buyer Position

We're currently hiring for a Buyer on behalf of a client in Moncks Corner, SC!

The Buyer will manage end-to-end purchasing activities, from creating and converting purchase requisitions into purchase orders to coordinating with internal teams and suppliers to ensure timely availability of goods and services. This role focuses on non-production and service-related purchasing, supporting supply chain efficiency, service-critical spare parts availability, and accurate procurement data. The Buyer will work closely with Customer Service, Logistics, Planning, and Sourcing to align procurement actions with business needs and to mitigate supply risks.

Responsibilities

• Create, manage, and convert purchase requisitions into accurate and timely purchase orders.
• Create, manage, and release non-production and service-related purchase orders.
• Execute procurement activities in line with approved suppliers, contracts, and pricing agreements.
• Perform purchase order to invoice matching and resolve any discrepancies or clarifications.
• Collaborate with Customer Service and Logistics teams to prioritize urgent and service-critical spare parts.
• Work with Planning to align procurement actions with forecasts, MRP signals, and inventory policies.
• Partner with Sourcing to manage supplier constraints, lead-time risks, and pricing variances.
• Proactively expedite or reschedule orders to mitigate service disruptions and keep downstream stakeholders informed.
• Manage procurement exceptions, including emergency purchases, through defined approval workflows.
• Monitor supplier delivery performance and address issues that may impact service levels.
• Maintain accurate procurement data and material master data within ERP and related systems.
• Support order management and order entry activities as required.
• Prepare and maintain reports related to purchasing, supplier performance, and inventory as needed.
• Provide administrative support related to purchasing, vendor management, and documentation.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Moncks Corner, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.04 - $24.04/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
