Accounts Payable Specialist/Canton

Accounts Payable Specialist
LHH is partnering with a growing company in Canton, Ohio to hire an Accounts Payable Specialist. This immediate-start contract-to-hire opportunity is ideal for candidates with experience in accounts payable, invoice processing, vendor payments, and account reconciliations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Process high-volume invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Review and verify invoices for proper approval and coding
- Prepare and process vendor payments
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain accurate accounts payable records and documentation
- Communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries
- Assist with month-end closing activities
- Support the accounting team with additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous experience in Accounts Payable or related accounting functions
- Strong knowledge of invoice processing and account reconciliations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to research and resolve discrepancies independently
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
