Talent Acquisition Specialist On site hybrid in Fairborn, OH 3 days a week W2 Only - no sponsorship offered for this position As a Talent Acquisition Specialist II, you will be responsible for executing full-life-cycle recruitment responsibilities, building our employment brand, and collaborating with Talent Advisors to provide a world- class hiring experience for Hiring Managers and candidates. The Human Resources Strategic Capabilities Unit develops, retains, rewards and attracts talent needed for the business to attain strategic and operational goals. Hybrid schedule: Tuesday-Thursday in office Monday & Friday work from home Standard 40-hour work week Occasional overtime (approximately 2 hours) Position Overview Supporting engineering recruiting Team is growing rapidly Initial contract expected to be at least 6 months with intention for a 1-year engagement Hiring due to increased workload and need for additional bandwidth to support business growth Significant hiring ramp-up underway Day-to-Day Responsibilities Heavy sourcing responsibilities Additional focus on candidate engagement and recruiting support AI scheduling tool assists with interview scheduling Responsible for: Sourcing candidates Interview coordination Offer recommendations Extending offers Recruiter's involvement ends once the candidate accepts the offer Recruiting Environment Mix of high-volume and niche recruiting Some roles attract many applicants Other positions are highly specialized and difficult to fill Recruiting Tools LinkedIn Recruiter Phenom CRM Indeed Requisition Load Typically 20-30 requisitions Recruiters expected to source heavily Similar requisitions across the business Ideal Background Preferred Industries Aerospace & Defense (very strong preference) Manufacturing Technology companies IT organizations Healthcare organizations Experience That Performs Well Staffing industry recruiting backgrounds have historically been most successful Technical recruiting experience strongly preferred Experience recruiting engineers and candidates with security clearances Skills & Qualities Needed Technical Recruiting Skills Ability to read and understand technical job descriptions Conduct effective intake calls with hiring managers Evaluate resumes independently Understand technical backgrounds Soft Skills Strong communication skills Collaboration and teamwork Negotiation skills Ability to respectfully push back on hiring managers Ability to build strong relationships with candidates and peers Attention to Detail Process-heavy environment Detailed process documentation exists for all tasks Need to ensure approximately 50 different fields are completed correctly Strong accuracy and compliance mindset required Team Culture Highly collaborative team Looking for someone who works well with peers Strong support system in place Sourcing Support Dedicated strategic sourcing efforts for difficult skill sets Conference recruiting and specialized outreach strategies Significant team collaboration on hard-to-fill positions Training & Onboarding Formal training program provided First 3 weeks focused on training Hybrid attendance required during training By Week 3, recruiters are expected to begin handling phone screens Contract & Business Outlook Contract currently planned for one year Growth dependent on awarded bids and program work Company generally does not pre-hire ahead of awarded work due to budget constraints Often hiring reactively after winning new programs Long-Term Stability Hundreds of active programs Ability to move strong employees between programs Conversion opportunities for top performers What You’ll Do Collaborate with Talent Advisors to provide a seamless and exceptional hiring experience for Hiring Managers and candidates by participating in activities including candidate sourcing, pre- screening, offer creation, and salary negotiation. Develop and implement effective sourcing and outreach strategies to attract top talent for strategic positions. Build and maintain our employment brand through networking, social media, and community outreach. Maintain accountability for key recruitment metrics, such as time-to-hire, to optimize recruitment results, reduce hiring cycles, and improve overall talent acquisition performance. Interface with management and employees, communicating and interpreting established policies, procedures, and laws. Ensure adherence to established hiring processes and procedures. Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule. Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment. Perform other duties as necessary. On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site three or more days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required. Working Conditions Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor. Job will involve extensive use of a PC and email, some manual data entry. Candidate experience involves a fast paced, dynamic, technical environment. A solid understanding of infrastructure and manufacturing Candidates daily responsibilities may include direct support in production and quality. Candidates assistance may range from quality investigations to data analysis. Will need to coordinate their colleague and external specialists to place in the workshop with a large number of parts that require different skill sets. This is a full time, full benefit, remote position. Required Education, Experience, & Skills BS/BA plus 2 years or more related experience. Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency to fill job positions with qualified candidates. Solid business acumen and quality decision-making skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to follow established hiring processes. Prior recruiting experience within a technical organization or aerospace/defense industry. Experience utilizing an applicant tracking system, preferably BrassRing. Experience with sourcing tools, such as LinkedIn Recruiter.
