Financial Analyst III

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Financial Analyst III to support inventory finance operations within their Customer Channels Group. The role involves financial planning, analysis, reporting, and process improvement to deliver organizational financial objectives across research and healthcare markets.

Responsibilities

Complete monthly closing activities and ensure accurate financial reporting
Analyze transactional and operational data; recommend accruals for reporting accuracy
Identify key variance drivers between actual results and annual operating plan/forecast
Collaborate with business partners to correct errors, improve processes, and establish financial assumptions
Develop standardized analyses and reports supporting forecasting, budgeting, and business review processes

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
3-5 years relevant financial experience in large global or matrixed organizations
Proficiency with Oracle, Power BI, Cognos, Excel, and PowerPoint
Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to present information concisely
Understanding of business processes, operations, and financial controls
Ability to identify control weaknesses and recommend mitigation actions
Detail-oriented with ability to multitask in deadline-driven environments
