About Common Waste

Common Waste is a national managed waste organization helping commercial and multi-site businesses simplify and reduce the cost of their waste and recycling programs. We coordinate service through a nationwide network of providers, delivering tailored solutions without the overhead of a traditional hauler. Based in Farmington, MI, we're a lean, performance-driven team building something real — and we're adding to our sales organization.

The Program

This isn't a standard sales job posting. We run a structured sales training program where every new hire starts from the same place — learning the full business, both sides of the sales function, and what it actually takes to produce in this industry.

During training, you'll get hands-on exposure to both tracks:

• Hunter (Outbound Sales Representative) — prospecting, cold outreach, new logo acquisition, and full-cycle selling across target verticals
• Farmer (Account Manager) — managing and growing an assigned book of business, client retention, upsell, and operations-facing relationship management

At the end of the training period, placement is a two-way conversation. We'll share what we observed. You'll share where you felt most natural. Together, we'll determine whether you move into an outbound Hunter role or an Account Manager seat — and your compensation structure will reflect that placement.

Compensation

• Competitive base salary commensurate with assigned role and experience
• Monthly commission on gross profit — uncapped, no ceiling
• The more you produce, the more you earn — straightforward, transparent, and designed to reward top performers

• Strong communicator — phone and email first
• Shows up, follows through, and doesn't need hand-holding
• Based in or commuting to Farmington, MI (in-office role)
