Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric age groups utilizing standardized assessments alongside observative techniques.
• Create tailored treatment plans that cater to both immediate targets and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions that concentrate on communication, language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
• Collaborate closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to form an integrated approach to patient care.
• Supply education to patients and their families to encourage progress beyond clinical interactions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout the therapy process.
• Document and maintain accurate records that align with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is still pending.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of starting the position.
