Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' mental health and substance use issues, utilizing evidence-based screening tools to identify co-occurring disorders.

• Collaborate with clients to create tailored treatment plans addressing their unique mental health and substance use challenges, employing proven therapeutic techniques.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at enhancing clients' coping mechanisms, relapse prevention strategies, and emotional regulation skills.

• Work alongside an interdisciplinary team, coordinating care and ensuring effective communication across various specialties to optimize client treatment outcomes.

• Monitor clients’ substance use, implementing motivational interviewing to empower them throughout their recovery journey.
\n
• Educationally guide clients and their families on the dynamics between mental health disorders and substance use, emphasizing the importance of adherence to therapeutic interventions.

• Maintain accurate documentation regarding treatment progress, clinical interventions, and referrals aligned with ethical guidelines and legal requirements.

• Participate actively in case conferences, team meetings, and ongoing training to enhance your knowledge and skills regarding co-occurring disorder treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.

• Proven proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• A strong understanding of the complexities associated with mental health and substance use disorders.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to foster effective collaboration within a multidisciplinary team setting.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
