Senior Accountant

Senior AccountantAriva Homes | Laredo, TXAriva Homes is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our growing team in Laredo, Texas. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting experience, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently while supporting the company's financial operations.This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional looking to join a growing organization and take on a key role in managing financial reporting, reconciliations, and day-to-day accounting activities.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review monthly financial statements and management reports.Perform general ledger account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account adjustments.Analyze financial data and provide insights to management.Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.Support audit and tax preparation processes as needed.Maintain accurate and organized accounting records.Assist with internal controls and accounting procedures.Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.Perform additional accounting duties and special projects as needed.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.3+ years of progressive accounting experience.Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and financial reporting.Experience with month-end and year-end closing procedures.Strong Excel skills and experience working with accounting software or ERP systems.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Preferred QualificationsExperience in the construction or homebuilding industry.Experience with job costing, construction accounting, or project accounting.Experience with ERP systems such as JD Edwards or similar platforms.Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.ScheduleFull-timeMonday – FridayLocation: Laredo, TXWhy Join Ariva Homes?At Ariva Homes, you'll have the opportunity to join a growing organization and play an important role in supporting our financial operations.
