Screw Machine Operator

We have an immediate opening for a Screw Machine Operator/Machinist located in Greensboro, NC to operate multi-spindle automatic screw machines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Relocation assistance is offered . This role is responsible for producing precision-machined parts to tight tolerances, maintaining quality standards, and supporting efficient, uninterrupted machine operation across shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor multi-spindle automatic screw machines to run efficiently and consistently

• Produce parts to print, meeting all quality, dimensional, and tolerance specifications

• Inspect and gauge parts throughout the production run using precision measurement tools to ensure ongoing compliance

• Adjust machine settings, feeds, speeds, cams, and tooling as needed to maintain quality and throughput

• Replace, sharpen, and maintain tooling, drills, taps, inserts, and coolant systems

• Load, monitor, and replenish bar stock to avoid production interruptions

• Troubleshoot machine issues and perform minor adjustments or repairs to minimize downtime

• Complete production and quality documentation accurately (log sheets, inspection records, etc.)

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with 5S and safety standards

• Communicate effectively with supervisors and other operators across shift changes

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating multi-spindle automatic screw machines required

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications

• Experience using precision measurement and inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.)

• Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of machining principles (speeds, feeds, tooling)

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training in machining a plus

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple running machines simultaneously

Shift/Schedule

• Day and night shift options available

• Shift differential offered for night shift

Compensation

• $25–$27/hr, based on experience

• Plus night shift differential
