Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments, including psychosocial evaluations and diagnostic interviews, to understand clients' challenges and establish appropriate support.

• Collaborate with clients and their families to develop tailored treatment plans that take into account their specific needs, goals, and cultural considerations.

• Deliver individual, couple, family, and group therapy using evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).

• Provide immediate crisis intervention services for clients in acute distress, ensuring continuity of care through effective collaboration with other healthcare professionals.

• Maintain detailed and accurate clinical documentation, including progress notes and treatment plans, while adhering to clinic policies and regulatory guidelines.

• Offer psychoeducation and resources to empower clients and their families in managing their mental health conditions.

• Engage in regular outcome assessments to track treatment effectiveness and adjust plans as necessary to optimize client outcomes.

• Remain up-to-date with current research and best practices in the mental health field, integrating this knowledge into day-to-day clinical practice.

• Strictly adhere to ethical guidelines and confidentiality standards to safeguard patient information.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LCSW within the state of New York.

• A demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of establishing rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds and experiences.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of experience in a mental health counseling role is required, candidates with additional expertise in trauma-informed care or specialized therapeutic techniques (e.g., EMDR, mindfulness-based interventions) will stand out. Experience in a community health setting is also beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits\n
