Key Responsibilities

In your role as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will undertake a variety of responsibilities, including:

• Conducting thorough assessments and developing comprehensive treatment plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.
• Providing consultations for crisis interventions, including pre-crisis and crisis planning, behavioral guidelines, risk assessments, and medication treatment plans.
• Maintaining and completing required documentation in a timely manner to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
• Utilizing evidence-based screening tools as directed by the clinical team to assess client needs effectively.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement positive behavior support plans that foster client progress.
• Participating in ongoing training and actively contributing to the organization's licensing and accreditation processes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals experiencing emotional distress, those recovering from substance use disorders, and clients with developmental disabilities or acquired brain injuries. Your ability to empathize while providing guidance will be crucial in building trust and rapport, enabling you to support their unique journeys towards recovery and well-being.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or a closely related field.
• Completion of a full-time clinical internship in a mental health setting, demonstrating hands-on experience.
• License eligibility in the state of Florida to practice as an LMHC.
• A valid driver's license in good standing.
• Exceptional communication skills, enabling you to establish trust and rapport quickly with clients.
• Strong listening skills, combined with an ability to balance empathy with direction and support.
• Meticulous attention to detail, along with excellent organizational skills to manage documentation and client information effectively.

Preferred Experience

While the qualifications listed above are essential, candidates with additional experience in telehealth services, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), or crisis intervention will be highly regarded. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and evidence-based intervention strategies will also enhance your ability to thrive in this role.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 101,000 annually, along with a sign-on bonus.
