Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Focused on English Language Arts, this contract position places you in a classroom environment where collaboration is key—two educators work together at all times to ensure both effective teaching and individualized support. If you’re available for Extended School Year programming, you can start as early as July 6th and make an even greater impact from the very beginning.

• Strong knowledge of ELA curriculum at the high school level
• Experience with students exhibiting moderate behavioral challenges
• Collaborative mindset and flexibility in adapting to ever-changing classroom needs
• Skills in implementing individualized strategies and positive behavioral supports

Responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering ELA instruction aligned with students’ IEPs
• Partnering with your classroom co-teacher to ensure a consistent, nurturing, and engaging environment
• Collecting data on student progress and maintaining necessary records
• Communicating progress and strategies with support staff and families
