Dental Assistant

Job Description

The Dental Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the dentist within a general dentistry practice. Primarily working on-site, this position involves assisting with patient care, managing clinical instruments, and maintaining a safe and efficient clinical environment. The role requires proficiency with digital imaging, patient management software, and sterilization technology, offering opportunities for continuing education and career advancement.

Responsibilities

Prepare patients for dental procedures
Handle and organize dental instruments
Assist with radiography and digital imaging
Maintain infection control standards
Document patient information and charting accurately
Sterilize equipment and manage inventory
Educate patients on oral hygiene and care
Keep detailed and organized records

Preferred Qualifications

1+ years of experience in dental assisting
Certificate in Dental Assisting
Knowledge of radiography and infection control
Strong patient care skills
Familiarity with dental software and sterilization procedures
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Attention to detail
