Position Overview

The Vice President of Engineering leads the engineering and project management function for Lindsay Renewables. This role owns the technical lifecycle from estimating and proposal support through design, project execution, and closeout. The position oversees Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Estimating, and the Director of Project Management across the east and west integration facilities.

The VP of Engineering also serves as a technical partner to customers and the sales team, sets technical direction, and supports the development and adoption of Acumatica ERP workflows for engineering and project management.

What You Will Do

• Own engineering development and set technical direction from customer requirements through delivery of the completed skid.

• Lead and develop the Engineering and Project Management teams, including Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Estimating, and the Director of Project Management.

• Serve as a direct technical liaison with customers and work closely with Sales to scope solutions, support proposals, and win new work.

• Partner with OEM electrical equipment manufacturers to translate equipment specifications into integrated, project-ready skid designs.

• Develop the engineering roadmap supporting faster project timelines and plug-and-play delivery for customers.

• Oversee project execution from estimating and handoff through delivery and closeout, with accountability for schedule, budget, and quality.

• Drive design standardization and process improvements across facilities to increase throughput and reduce cost per skid.

• Evaluate and help shape engineering strategy for new markets that align with Lindsay Renewables' fabrication and electrical integration capabilities.

• Support the design and implementation of engineering and project management workflows within Acumatica ERP.

• Confirm that engineering output meets applicable safety, quality, and regulatory standards for utility-scale solar and battery storage applications.

• Manage engineering and project management budgets, staffing, and capacity planning across both sites.

• Work with Fabrication, Integration, and Supply Chain teams to keep projects on schedule.

• Recruit, develop, and retain engineering and project management talent.

• Report engineering and project performance, capacity, and risk to executive leadership.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering.

• At least 15 years of engineering experience, including at least 7 years in a senior leadership role.

• Demonstrated experience leading engineering and project management teams across multiple facilities or sites.

• Strong understanding of fabrication processes, balance-of-system components, and relevant electrical codes and standards.

• Experience working directly with customers and supporting sales as a technical leader.

• Strong understanding of ERP systems and their role in engineering, estimating, and project management workflows.

• Clear cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced engineering degree.

• Experience in power electronics, electrical skid or package integration, or utility-scale solar and storage.

• Experience with skidded, modular, packaged, or integrated systems.

• Experience evaluating adjacent market opportunities in evolving business environments.

• Experience with Acumatica or a similar ERP platform in an engineering environment.

• PMP certification or formal project management training.

• Clear leadership, role definition, and performance expectations across the combined engineering and project management organization.

• Improved project visibility, forecasting accuracy, and execution discipline across both facilities.

• Successful rollout of Acumatica-driven engineering, estimating, and project management workflows by the January 2027 ERP go-live.

• Reduced project cycle times and increased design standardization across the skid portfolio.

• Effective customer engagement and technical support connected to new business wins.

• Development and retention of engineering and project management talent needed to support growth.
