Accounts Payable Specialist

A growing manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist for a contract opportunity. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and can quickly contribute to a busy AP department.

Key Responsibilities

• Process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
  
• Perform 3-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documentation.
  
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, pricing issues, and vendor inquiries.
  
• Maintain vendor records and ensure compliance with company policies.
  
• Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers.
  
• Reconcile vendor statements and assist with month-end close activities.
  
• Collaborate with purchasing, receiving, and production teams to resolve AP-related issues.
  
• Ensure proper coding of invoices to the general ledger and cost centers.
  
• Support audit requests and maintain organized AP documentation.
  

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Accounts Payable experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  
• Proven experience handling high-volume invoice processing.
  
• Strong understanding of purchase orders, 3-way matching, and inventory-related transactions.
  
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, JD Edwards, or similar.
  
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, PivotTables, and data reconciliation.
  
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
  
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  

Pay Details: $22.00 to $25.00 per hour
