Managing Director, Complex Accounting & Litigation

J.S. Helds Complex Accounting & Litigation team is seeking a seasoned and entrepreneurial Managing Director to expand our forensic accounting and litigation consulting services. This is a senior leadership role for a professional with deep experience in audit forensic accounting and/or complex investigations and litigation paired with a strong track record of working with high-performing teams developing people and helping to grow a book of business.

As a Managing Director you will play a role in shaping the strategic direction of the practice leading high-impact engagements mentoring talent and cultivating long-term client relationships across industries and geographies.

Job Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Team Development

• Work with other senior leaders to mentor and grow a team of investigative professionals.
• Foster a collaborative high-performance culture focused on quality innovation and client service.
• Support internal knowledge sharing training and professional development initiatives.

Client Engagement & Project Oversight

• Oversee and execute complex forensic accounting investigations and expert witness engagements.
• Guide the development of client deliverables including reports presentations and data visualizations.
• Serve as a senior point of contact for clients ensuring exceptional service delivery and strategic insight.

Business Development & Market Expansion

• Expand your book of business and contribute to the growth of the Complex Accounting & Litigation Practice.
• Work with other leaders to develop and implement go-to-market strategies in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
• Build and maintain relationships with law firms financial institutions and corporate clients.
• Represent J.S. Held at industry events conferences and client engagements.

Qualifications :

• 10 years of experience in investigative consulting audit or forensic advisory roles.
• Proven leadership experience with a focus on team development and client delivery.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distill complex findings into clear actionable insights.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working across jurisdictions and regulatory environments.
• Demonstrated success in business development and client relationship management.

Physical and Mental Job Qualifications

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position during work shift.
• Ability to travel as needed.

A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is $200000 - $300000. Any offered salary range is based on a wide array of factors including but not limited to skillset experience training location scope of role management responsibility etc.
