Registered Nurse - Oncology

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized infusion nursing care to oncology patients within a clinical setting. Follow established protocols to deliver safe and effective treatments while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Administer chemotherapy and other infusion therapies to oncology patients.
• Monitor patient responses during and after treatments, reporting any adverse effects.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and clinical notes.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, side effects, and care instructions.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols including ONS and BLS certification standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license required.
• ONS (Oncology Nursing Society) certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in oncology nursing.
• BLS certification required.
• Strong knowledge of infusion therapy procedures and oncology treatments.
• Excellent communication and patient care skills.
