Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This onsite contract opportunity involves working with students on the autism spectrum at both elementary and middle school levels, helping each learner find success in a supportive environment. You’ll collaborate with dedicated staff and families to develop tailored learning plans and interventions.

Key Qualifications:

• Current, active Georgia SPED license with proper endorsements required
• ADAPTIVE SPED CERT needed for elementary assignment (self-contained, Autism Level 3 classroom)
• SPED GENERAL CURRICULUM CERT required for middle school assignment (Autism Level 1, inclusion/resource model)
• Experience supporting students with autism, especially those with significant physical and academic needs
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive classroom environment

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to students with autism at the elementary or middle school level (assignments based on endorsement and experience)
• Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and implement adaptive curriculum or general curriculum modifications as needed
• Utilize evidence-based strategies to support academic, social, and behavioral growth
• Collaborate with general education staff, related service providers, and families to ensure comprehensive support
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and services delivered
• Participate in professional development and contribute to a positive school culture

This is an onsite position only, spanning from late July through the following May. The schedule is 37.5 hours per week, providing ample opportunity to make meaningful connections with students and colleagues.
