HR Operations Manager

This position serves as the primary commitment accounting officer for the Odum School of Ecology and handles human resource-related fiscal transactions for the school. Responsibilities include: hiring of staff, faculty, graduate assistants, and student workers; payroll reconciliations; financial transactions related to payroll costs; and the strategic planning of fiscal year hiring of graduate assistants. The position also analyzes the payroll budgets of the school and advises the administrative financial director, program coordinators, and principal investigators on project-based timelines and needs for commitment accounting issues. The role serves as the faculty affairs liaison and human resources liaison for Ecology. This position also assists in the awarding of scholarships. Other fiscal duties include cross-training for unit-level accounting, including deposit processing, purchasing, travel authorizations, payment requests, reimbursements, account reconciliation.
