Locum NP (Nurse Practitioner), PA (Physician's Assistant) Family Medicine;Internal Medicine;Primary Care

 This is a contract, on-site position within the Medical Practice industry, offering an opportunity to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic clinical setting.

In this role, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients across a range of primary care and internal medicine conditions, working collaboratively with physicians and clinical staff to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care. This position is ideal for an associate-level clinician looking to apply their clinical expertise in a community-focused practice.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including histories and physical examinations
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions across family medicine and internal medicine
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans for patients
• Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests and laboratory results
• Prescribe medications in accordance with state regulations and clinical guidelines
• Provide preventive care, health education, and wellness counseling
• Collaborate with supervising physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant electronic medical records
• Coordinate referrals and communicate effectively with specialists and external providers
• Adhere to clinical protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Current, unrestricted state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Board certification from the relevant national certifying body (ANCC or NCCPA)
• Active DEA registration and eligibility to prescribe controlled substances
• Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, or primary care settings
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients and colleagues
• Ability to work independently and adapt quickly in a locum setting
• Commitment to patient safety, compassionate care, and cultural sensitivity
• Valid BLS certification and clean malpractice history

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p

Patient Population: Ages 18+, specializing in geriatric care

Duties: Routine physical exams and health screenings, sick visits, treatment and management of chronic conditions, same-day appointments, immunizations, and medication prescriptions and refills

Must be board-certified
