To further this mission, Callen-Lorde promotes health education and wellness, and advocates for LGBTQ+ health issues.****About the Role:****Callen-Lorde is seeking a highly motivated Billing Associate to join our growing patient accounts team. In this critical role, you will play a vital role in ensuring efficient and accurate billing for our patients, contributing directly to our mission of providing exceptional healthcare.****Key Responsibilities:***** Act as the lead billing contact, collaborating with medical staff to ensure timely patient account generation and reimbursement.* Maintain accurate and efficient patient flow through our medical, behavioral health, and dental financial systems.* Provide exceptional customer service to patients, answering billing and insurance questions with courtesy.* Handle all aspects of the billing cycle, including:* + Insurance verification and authorization + Treatment plan setup and monitoring + Claims entry, processing, re-billing, and corrections + Payment entry and reconciliation + Overall account maintenance and troubleshooting* Stay up-to-date on billing regulations and procedures.****Work Schedule:****Callen-Lorde is open Monday through Friday.
