Our accounting team plays a critical role in supporting the operational and financial success of a growing portfolio of hotels across the eastern United States. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Corporate Staff Accountant to join our corporate accounting team. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, fast-paced hospitality environment while gaining exposure to multi-property hotel accounting operations. This position may be based either at our Portsmouth, NH or Andover, MA offices.This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys ownership of their work, thrives in a team-oriented environment, and is looking to grow their career with a dynamic and expanding hospitality company.As a Corporate Staff Accountant, you will support the financial operations of multiple hotel properties and assist with month-end close, reporting, reconciliations, and compliance processes.Key responsibilities include:Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements for assigned hotel propertiesReconcile bank accounts and general ledger accountsPrepare and post journal entries including accruals, prepaids, and reclassesAssist with monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and use tax filingsSupport accounts receivable research and discrepancy resolutionParticipate in month-end and year-end close processesAssist with external audits and financial reporting requestsCollaborate with hotel operations teams and corporate departmentsSupport process improvements and special accounting projects as neededQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field2+ years of accounting experience preferredHospitality, multi-entity, or multi-location accounting experience is a plusStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsProficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applicationsExperience with Sage Intacct or similar accounting systems preferredAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesStrong communication and problem-solving skillsProfessionalism, integrity, and confidentiality in handling financial informationWhy Join Colwen Hotels?Colwen Hotels is a growing hospitality management and development company with a portfolio of 40+ hotels spanning from New England to Florida.
