Physical Therapist - School Setting in Cambridge, MA

Step into an engaging contract position as a School-Based Physical Therapist supporting students across K-12 grades during the Extended School Year (ESY) session. This opportunity spans from July 6th to August 7th, with a consistent schedule of 30 hours per week-six hours each day, Monday through Friday-providing plenty of time to build meaningful connections and drive positive outcomes for students.


What You'll Bring:

• Valid Physical Therapist (PT) license for the state
• Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings is strongly valued
• Familiarity with IEP documentation and implementing therapeutic interventions in educational environments
• Ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Safe Care Certification is preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills, ensuring support across diverse learner needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive physical therapy services to K-12 students in alignment with IEP goals and state regulations
• Develop, implement, and assess individualized therapy plans
• Maintain accurate student records and contribute to IEP meetings, providing insight for educational staff and families
• Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and related service providers
• Adapt therapy techniques to meet the unique goals and environments of each student
• Promote student safety, independence, and functional participation throughout the school day
