Paralegal- Workers Compensation

Job Description

A growing law firm in Alpharetta is seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Defense Paralegal to support a busy litigation practice. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple priorities, and enjoys owning cases from start to finish.

Responsibilities

Manage workers' compensation defense files from intake through resolution
Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, subpoenas, and settlement documents
Coordinate IMEs, medical records, vocational evaluations, and case-related documentation
Communicate with attorneys, insurance adjusters, medical providers, and opposing counsel
Prepare hearing and mediation materials, including exhibits and case files
Handle e-filing and maintain calendars, deadlines, and case updates

Qualifications

2+ years of workers' compensation defense and/or insurance defense experience
Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and case management systems
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
Paralegal certificate or degree preferred
