Job Title Associate, Multifamily Originations Location New York City (Hybrid – 3 days on-site) Job Summary Ready Capital Affordable Multi‑Family is a dynamic and growing niche business dedicated exclusively to Affordable Housing Finance. With a team of 25 professionals, the firm recently closed its own investor fund and currently services a loan portfolio of $4.3billion. The Associate, Originations will support senior originators and investment professionals across underwriting, transaction execution, and market analysis for affordable multifamily transactions, including tax‑exempt bond and LIHTC financing. Key Responsibilities Support the originations team in sourcing, underwriting, and execution of affordable multifamily loan transactions. Complete financial modeling and credit analysis for multifamily assets, reviewing LTV, DSCR, sources and uses, and cash‑flow projections. Prepare and maintain underwriting materials, internal credit memos, and investment committee packages. Prepare marketing and investor materials related to tax‑exempt bond and LIHTC transactions. Coordinate due‑diligence materials and support the closing process for bond and loan transactions. Lead group calls to ensure loan‑closing deadlines are met. Track transaction pipelines, maintain internal databases, and support reporting requirements. Review legal documentation to ensure alignment with investor requirements. Conduct market research on affordable housing trends, capital markets, and comparable transactions. Travel nationally to attend industry conferences, networking opportunities, and visit project properties. Collaborate with internal teams, including capital markets, credit, legal, and servicing, as needed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Real Estate. Strong interest in affordable housing, multifamily finance, and real estate credit. Solid analytical and quantitative skills with high attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to quickly identify and deliver answers to ad‑hoc questions from clients. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with financial models preferred. Pay Range Annual full‑time salary range: $95,000 – $110,000. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and performance.
