Paralegal

They are seeking a motivated Paralegal to join their growing legal team and support their mission. The Paralegal will support the legal team by assisting with a high volume of real estate transactions and project-related tasks, under the supervision of a senior paralegal and the general counsel. This junior-to-mid-level role will handle delegated responsibilities, including document preparation, corporate filings, coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth deal closings and a variety of other tasks associated with affordable housing transactions. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, collaborative, thrives in a dynamic environment, and supports a mission-driven organization. Roles and Responsibilities Assist with drafting, reviewing, and organizing legal documents, including organizational charts, filings, resolutions, and title and survey. Assist development team in preparing funding applications. Support due diligence processes for real estate transactions, such as title searches, survey review and zoning compliance. Coordinate with the legal team and developers to facilitate timely project closings Manage and track deadlines for filings, searches, and other project-related tasks. Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders, including government agencies, outside counsel and opposing counsel and title companies, as needed. Compile data to support the legal team’s initiatives. Qualifications & Experience Certificate of completion from an ABA-approved paralegal certification program of education and training, or an associate degree in paralegal studies, or equivalent experience. Experience in real estate transactions and real estate paralegal training preferred. Proficient with Microsoft Office 365, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel. Comfortable working under mentorship and supervision from a senior paralegal and general counsel Must be able to effectively multi-task, manage time-sensitive documents and have exceptional organizational skills in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with affordable housing programs (e.g., LIHTC, HUD) is a plus but not required. Strong written and verbal communication skills; candidates are encouraged to submit a cover letter or writing sample. Proficiency in document management systems. Highly organized, proactive, and adaptable, with strong attention to detail. Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment with high expectations. Compensation The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition to the base salary, the successful candidate may be eligible for a performance-based bonus, which is determined based on individual and company performance.
