Project ManagerA growing structural steel fabricator is seeking a Project Manager to oversee fabrication projects from award through final delivery. This role is responsible for managing schedules, shop drawing coordination, fabrication schedules, budgets, and client communication while working closely with detailing, production, and field teams.The ideal candidate comes from a structural steel fabricator or has experience managing structural steel construction projects and understands fabrication workflows, shop drawings, and steel production. This position offers the opportunity to work on large commercial and industrial steel projects while collaborating with experienced engineering and fabrication teams.Key ResponsibilitiesManage structural steel fabrication projects from kickoff through completionCoordinate detailing, fabrication, production, and field installation schedulesReview construction drawings, structural plans, and shop drawingsManage project budgets, schedules, RFIs, submittals, and change ordersCoordinate with customers, engineers, erectors, and internal production teamsTrack material procurement, fabrication progress, and project milestonesSupport quality control and ensure fabrication meets project specificationsIdentify project risks and implement solutions to maintain schedule and budgetTravel to project sites as needed to support project executionMaintain strong communication with clients and internal teams throughout the project lifecycleRequirements5+ years of Project Management experienceExperience with a structural steel fabricator or structural steel contractor preferredStrong understanding of structural steel fabrication and construction workflowsAbility to read and interpret structural drawings and shop drawingsExperience managing budgets, schedules, and project documentationStrong communication, organization, and leadership skillsWillingness to travel to project sites as needed (approximately every other week during active projects)Preferred QualificationsExperience with steel detailing or fabrication managementBackground managing commercial or industrial structural steel projectsExperience coordinating fabrication, detailing, and erection activitiesFamiliarity with fabrication software and Microsoft OfficeCompensation & BenefitsMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k)Paid holidays and PTOTravel expenses covered for project assignmentsLong-term growth within a leading structural steel fabrication companyOpportunity to manage complex commercial and industrial steel projects
