Patient Access Representative

Location: Tarzana, CA (Onsite)

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct patient interviews to collect and accurately document demographic, financial, and insurance information
• Register patients and update patient records within the hospital information system
• Verify insurance coverage, eligibility, and benefits
• Obtain and validate required patient documentation
• Ensure patient information is complete and accurate before services are rendered
• Assist patients with registration questions and provide general information regarding healthcare services
• Maintain confidentiality of patient records and protected health information
• Perform high-volume data entry with a strong focus on accuracy
• Coordinate with clinical and administrative teams to support patient access and registration processes
• Resolve registration and insurance-related issues in a professional and timely manner
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare staff
• Navigate electronic medical record (EMR) systems to update and retrieve patient information

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of patient access, patient registration, medical reception, healthcare customer service, or related experience
• Experience with insurance verification and eligibility checks
• Strong data entry and computer skills
• Experience working with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and accuracy

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience utilizing Epic EMR
• Previous hospital or large healthcare system experience
• Familiarity with insurance authorization and patient financial processes
• Experience supporting high-volume patient registration workflows

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Tarzana, CA 91356.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr.
