Full Charge Bookkeeper

Anna Parson at Robert Half is seeking a hands-on Full Charge Bookkeeper to join a growing project-based organization. The Full Charge Bookkeeper will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, billing, collections, project administration, compliance tracking, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working directly with management to ensure accurate and timely financial information.

As the Full Charge Bookkeeper, you will:

• Manage full-cycle bookkeeping functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, collections, account reconciliations, and general ledger support
• Coordinate project setup, maintain accounting records, track customer deposits, and monitor financial activity throughout the project lifecycle
• Prepare reports for management, support cash flow planning, and provide timely financial information as needed
• Administer vendor and subcontractor documentation, including insurance certificates and compliance requirements
• Utilize Excel and accounting software to maintain accurate records and streamline processes
• Communicate professionally with clients, vendors, project teams, and leadership while managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
• Prior experience in construction, contracting, or project-based accounting environments is highly preferred; Sage experience is a plus

• 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably within construction, contracting, or other project-driven environments
• Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, collections, and general ledger processes
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems or similar accounting software is highly desirable
• Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain a high degree of accuracy in a fast-paced setting
• Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with a proactive, self-directed work style
