We are seeking a full-time Legal Billing Specialist to join our high-volume Billing Department in our Uniondale office.What You'll DoIn this role, you will support the firm's billing operations by ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant invoice processing for a large portfolio of insurance defense matters.Key Responsibilities:Process monthly and quarterly client billing invoices.Review client billing instructions to ensure full compliance with guidelines.Research and resolve billing issues; collaborate with partners, assistants, and billing staff to ensure accuracy and completeness.Submit and monitor e-billed invoices; resolve discrepancies and rejected invoices promptly.Track delayed payments and follow up as needed.What You'll BringBachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance preferred.2+ years of relevant billing experience, requiredExperience with legal billing systems and time & billing software is a plus.Knowledge of standard billing processes, including invoice formatting, timekeeper allocations, and paperless billing workflows.Experience with electronic billing platforms, including client/matter setup and time entry troubleshooting.Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.Ability to work accurately and efficiently under time-sensitive deadlines.Prior experience in a law firm environment, highly preferred.Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with all levels of firm personnel and client contacts.Willingness to work extended hours during billing deadlines.Compensation & BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary, an excellent benefits package, and a collaborative, friendly environment.Salary Range: We offer a competitive salary, an excellent benefits package and a collaborative, friendly environment. The salary range for this role is $55,000-$70,000.
