Senior Corporate Accountant | Real Estate Investment Firm | Semi-Remote

A privately held, vertically integrated commercial real estate firm with a regional focus is seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant to join their midtown Manhattan team. This is a highly visible position that will work closely with various department heads and upper management. Accounting Responsibilities:

\n

\n
• Assist with the oversight of day-to-day operations of the corporate and property accounting functions. in a manner which promotes teamwork and encourages continuous improvement.
\n
• Supervise Accounts Payable, Receivable and Lease Administration teams.
\n
• Partner with department heads to ensure cost remain in budget while maintaining accurate forecasting.
\n
• Oversight of the month and year end close process including corporate allocations, financial statement preparation, accruals, review journal entries and work papers.
\n
• Assist in FP&A reporting which includes compiling multiple data sources to create reports and metrics for upper management.
\n
• Ability to use advanced excel formulas to prepare the corporate budget, analyze reforecast, and evaluate current/subsequent years net income.
\n
• Reconcile intercompany balances between corporate and operating entities.
\n
• Report cash position and revenue to executive management on a weekly basis.
\n
• Maintain internal controls and oversee financial and tax audits.
\n
• Conduct account reconciliation and analyses and report findings to leadership.
\n
• Be comfortable implementing ground-up workpapers and other processes.
\n

Required Qualifications:

\n

\n
• BA in Accounting / Finance or relevant discipline.
\n
• 4+ years of experience in accounting. Real estate preferred.
\n
• Proficiency with Yardi or similar accounting software.
\n
• Exceptional organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
\n
• Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced, multi-faceted environment.
\n
• Be able to multi-task and be a team player.
\n

Compensation: $100,000 - $120,000 plus bonus, 401k match, comprehensive health benefits (medical, dental and vision), PTO, and other valuable perks.

\n

\n
