Support dynamic learning environments in a flexible Special Education paraprofessional role for the school year, providing impactful assistance where student and classroom needs are evolving. This contract opportunity offers a consistent weekday schedule, totaling up to 37.5 hours per week through May 26, 2027.

As a float paraprofessional, you’ll contribute to the success of classrooms at both Lincoln Elementary and the local high school. Your core responsibility will be adjusting to support students as district priorities shift, with initial assignment likely focused on a kindergarten student requiring intensive learning and behavioral support. Your expertise will be valuable in implementing effective strategies for students facing challenges such as elopement and classroom disruption, as well as stepping in to assist in other classrooms, including life skills and mainstream inclusion settings for high school students.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of one year’s experience as a paraprofessional supporting students in preK–12 settings
• Must meet Pennsylvania paraprofessional requirements: para certification, OR 48+ college credits, OR an associate's degree or higher; candidates without proper credentials must obtain certification within 60 days of hire
• Demonstrated ability to manage challenging behaviors and provide positive student support
• Flexibility to float between various classrooms and school sites as priorities shift
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with learning and behavioral interventions in both elementary and high school settings
• Provide one-on-one and group support, implementing individual strategies under certified staff direction
• Support classroom management, safety, and engagement during academic and off-campus activities
• Respond fluidly to ever-changing student needs and schedules
