Coordinator, CELS Financial Operations

University Of Rhode Island is hiring a Coordinator, CELS Financial Operations. This role manages administrative support for the College of the Environment and Life Sciences, overseeing budget monitoring, compliance, forecasting, and office management. The coordinator assists senior leadership with financial, programmatic, and operational functions for academic units and related research and outreach programs, preparing state and federal budgetary and programmatic reports. Highlights Manage budget monitoring, compliance, forecasting, and office administration for CELS academic units and funds. Assist Dean, Associate Deans, and Associate Director, Finance with financial and operational support for academic and Land Grant programs (RICE and RIAES). Prepare and submit state and federal financial and programmatic reports. Oversee daily spending activities and analyze financial data including grants management. Supervise administrative staff and students as required. Use Microsoft Office Suite and PeopleSoft for financial and database management. Requires a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, public/business administration, or related field and minimum three years of complex administrative experience. Strong skills in budget development, project management, policy compliance, and communication are essential. Preferred experience includes knowledge of federal granting agencies, higher education budget management, and familiarity with USDA and PeopleSoft.
