Employment Status: Full time Shift: Any Day, Any Shift (United States of America) Facility: 451 Kimball Ave NE - Roanoke Job Overview The Application Analyst III, Epic performs epic application system analysis and design including requirements, specifications, configuration, documentation, testing, and implementation of systems. Provides application support, troubleshooting, training, and reporting, and may also support integrated third‑party applications. Serves as a liaison between TSG groups, clients, and vendors. An onsite schedule is preferred, but candidates residing in specific states may be considered for a remote and/or hybrid schedule. Responsibilities Perform Epic application system analysis and design – requirements, specifications, configuration, documentation, testing, and implementation. Provide application support, troubleshooting, training, and reporting. Support integrated third‑party applications. Liaise between TSG groups, clients, and vendors. Independently manage assigned projects and work efforts, ensuring timely delivery. Lead requirements gathering and facilitate design sessions with stakeholders. Analyze and translate business needs into system solutions with minimal supervision. Develop and maintain documentation and knowledge resources for supported Epic and non‑Epic applications. Develop working knowledge of assigned Epic modules and related development tools. Assist with implementation of new Epic modules and system enhancements. Serve as a resource for Epic application and system support, providing guidance to team members. Mentor analysts and contribute to team knowledge sharing. Liaise across multiple Epic modules, teams, and stakeholders. Interact with internal and external customers and stakeholders in a professional manner. Apply independent judgment and decision‑making within established guidelines and escale issues appropriately. Identify opportunities for system improvements and support optimization efforts. Adhere to application change management processes, including communication, documentation, and post‑change support. Track work effort and communicate project and task status effectively. Participate in an on‑call rotation, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Qualifications Associate's degree in computer science, information systems, healthcare, business, or equivalent experience. Minimum of 4 years of related experience. Must obtain and maintain a minimum of 3 vendor and/or industry certifications/proficiencies as determined by management, following a primary Epic support application proficiency path. Must maintain a certification/proficiency in applicable Epic module(s). Self‑initiated team player able to work under little supervision, with strong organizational, problem‑solving, and analytical skills. Able to work both independently and in a team setting. Facilitate a positive and collaborative work environment. Flexible and capable of prioritizing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines. Effective communication skills (oral, written, and presentation). Demonstrate dependability, accountability, adherence to documentation and departmental processes, appropriate escalation, awareness of clinical and compliance impacts, adaptability, continuous learning, and respect for confidential information. Work in a matrixed environment and understand bimodal work principles. Primary work schedule is Monday–Friday during standard business hours; role requires flexibility beyond standard hours, including participation in an after‑hours on‑call rotation and occasional travel. Compensation $89,232.00 - $142,771.20 (pay based on qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience). Benefits and pension plan not included in this range.
