Job DescriptionAmarr, a part of ASSA ABLOY – the global leader in opening solutions, is seeking a dynamic and strategic Human Resources Manager to support our manufacturing operations in Lawrence and Shawnee, KS. In this key leadership role, you will act as a trusted business partner to plant leadership, aligning HR strategies with operational goals while fostering a high-performance, people-focused culture.You will lead all aspects of plant HR operations, serve as an advisor on complex employee matters, and champion a positive, compliant, and engaging workplace for our team members.What You’ll DoServe as a strategic HR partner to Plant Managers and leadership teams, providing guidance on talent and workforce matters Lead, coach, and develop a team of HR professionals to deliver best-in-class HR support Oversee all local HR functions including employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and benefits Interpret and ensure compliance with employment laws, policies, and procedures Drive HR programs focused on engagement, retention, and organizational effectiveness Lead employee relations investigations, recommend resolutions, and support corrective actions Promote a positive and inclusive culture through engagement initiatives and employee events Partner with internal teams to align HR strategies and support business objectives Monitor workforce trends and support competitive compensation strategies Identify training needs and support development programs, including compliance training Manage HR reporting, KPIs, and process improvement initiativesWhat You BringRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree8+ years of progressive Human Resources leadership experienceStrong experience across HR functions including employee relations, talent acquisition, and complianceIn-depth knowledge of employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, etc.)Proven leadership and ability to influence at all levels of the organizationExcellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skillsHigh level of integrity, professionalism, and sound judgmentPreferred QualificationsExperience in manufacturing, distribution, or fast-paced environmentsLean Six Sigma or continuous improvement experienceAdvanced proficiency in HRIS systems, payroll platforms, Excel, and SharePointThe Details:Benefits include Medical/Dental/Vision, Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays from day one, tuition reimbursement, and a 401k plan (with an automatic 3% company contribution, regardless of your contribution) among others.Our goal is to be a world-leading company that attracts diverse talent, where all team members feel safe being their true selves and are able to thrive in a work environment that promotes change, innovation, and provides equal access and opportunity.As one of North America’s leading garage door manufacturers, Amarr Company takes pride in fostering a culture where employees enjoy many opportunities for career growth, rapid advancement, and relocation to some of America’s most desired cities.
