Location: Houston, TX (hybrid after 1 month training)

Employment Type: CTH

Hours: Regualar

Pay: $35.00-$37.00 DOE

About the Role

Reporting to the Employee Relations Manager, this role is the front-line resource for managers and employees navigating workplace issues — providing neutral, consistent guidance on policy, discipline, and employee relations best practices to help build a fair and accountable workplace culture.

What You'll Do

• Advise front-line leaders and employees on ER issues: counseling, progressive discipline, terminations, and consistent policy application
• Guide employees and managers through their rights and responsibilities under company policy and state/federal law
• Support accommodation requests, work restrictions, leaves of absence, fitness-for-duty cases, and crisis situations
• Review employee terminations for legal and policy compliance
• Research and resolve routine ER questions, partnering with the Sr. ER Consultant on more complex issues
• Develop and deliver training on ER topics; document cases in the ER case management system
• Serve as an ER resource to other HR Centers of Excellence

What You'll Bring

• Strong relationship-building skills, including in virtual settings — able to build trust and credibility quickly
• Excellent judgment and independent problem-solving under time pressure
• Clear, professional communication (written and verbal) with a customer-service mindset
• Working knowledge of HR disciplines: compensation, talent management, performance management, and employment law
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities and shifting demands simultaneously

Requirements:

• Associate's degree + 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Kronos (time & attendance), disciplinary reviews, and workers' comp/workplace accommodations strongly preferred.
