Account Manager II - TPA (Remote)

RESPONSIBILITIES Provide consultative benefits expertise to strategic clients, delivering tactical marketing and communication initiatives that drive group enrollment growth. Build and maintain long‑term relationships with key senior decision makers and influencers at client locations. Manage client implementation of additional products, services, and third‑party vendor solutions, ensuring smooth rollout and satisfaction. Lead and conduct employer and employee educational and communication meetings independently in a variety of locations. Develop and execute renewal strategies, including goal setting, timeframe analysis, and implementation outlines to support new product/service set‑up. Oversee resolution of escalated client issues by assessing risk, determining impact, and collaborating with internal and external resources to deliver appropriate resolution. Facilitate external partnership to conduct benefit analysis and design structured programs, including open enrollment strategy, wellness deployment, and implementation oversight. Disseminate understanding of legal and regulatory changes affecting coverage, ensuring compliant benefit administration. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s Degree or 4 years of relevant work experience. Minimum 3 years of experience in sales, sales support, implementation, benefit administration or account management. Active health and life licenses for Maryland, DC, and Virginia. Experience with a third‑party administrator (preferred). KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Superior communication skills and deep knowledge of employee benefits. Strong problem‑solving, organization, and detail orientation. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; basic PowerPoint preferred. Familiarity with insurance information, technology, and evolving legislation. Ability to manage variable priorities, deadlines, and workloads in a fast‑paced environment. Commitment to service excellence and customer satisfaction. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS 20% local and nationwide travel required; up to 70% during Q4.
