Job Details Position: ICU Registered Nurse (Travel RN) Location: Glen Burnie, Maryland Employment Type: Travel Nursing Start Date: 09/21/2026 Contract Length: 8 weeks Shift: 3x12-hour nights (20:00 - 08:30) Hours per Week: 36 Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,890 - $2,000 Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Floating: Required within specialty and to lower-acuity areas as needed Orientation: 24 hours Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics Unit Focus: High-acuity IMC/ICU care with overflow lower-acuity patients Job Requirements Active Maryland RN license or compact RN license at time of submission Minimum 2 years of recent ICU, IMC, stepdown, or critical care experience First-time travelers are accepted with strong IMC/ICU level experience Strong background caring for high-acuity adult and geriatric patients Current BLS and ACLS certifications NIHSS certification required CPI certification required Epic charting experience required Ability to float within scope and support lower-acuity assignments when needed Comfort working in a community hospital environment with a broad range of complex diagnoses Responsibilities Provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based critical care nursing to ICU and stepdown patients Monitor and assess patients with diagnoses such as respiratory failure, CHF, STEMI/NSTEMI, sepsis, stroke, and multisystem organ failure Interpret telemetry, cardiac rhythms, dysrhythmias, and hemodynamic changes Support ventilated patients and assist with advanced respiratory care as needed Perform and assist with procedures including chest tube management, bronchoscopy support, cardioversion, lumbar punctures, and rapid sequence intubation support Administer medications and therapies according to unit protocols, including cardiac, vasoactive, and insulin drips without titration as assigned Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure coordinated patient care Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and uphold unit safety, infection prevention, and clinical standards Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and participate in rapid response or code situations as needed Float within the specialty and to lower-acuity areas in alignment with clinical needs Why Apply for This Travel Nursing Job?
