About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for its Southwest Region, which is dedicated to the mission of providing expertly trained service dogs to individuals in need, including those with disabilities, veterans, and professionals in various settings. The successful candidate will serve as the senior leader for the region, with a primary focus on fundraising, community engagement, and regional operations. This role requires a deep commitment to the organization's values and strategic priorities, as well as the ability to lead and manage a team to achieve and exceed annual fundraising goals. The Executive Director will be responsible for cultivating a mission-centered culture, strengthening team and organizational capacity, deepening donor and community relationships, and leading the regional expansion strategy. Candidates for the Executive Director position should have a proven track record in nonprofit executive leadership, with a strong background in fundraising and experience in leading organizations through growth and change. The role demands a strategic and resilient leader with excellent relationship-building, public speaking, and communication skills. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative and authentic leader, capable of fostering a culture of trust, accountability, and inclusion. Responsibilities also include overseeing the regional budget, managing staff, and partnering with program leadership to ensure alignment between fundraising and program delivery. The Executive Director will be the primary spokesperson for the organization in the region, and as such, a high level of personal integrity and the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels is essential.
