ResponsibilitiesPrepare Project level Cost EstimatesPrepare and maintain Project Level Estimates through various stages of a project, representing the total project scope Utilize various estimating software products Develop estimates for the comparison to bids receivedPerform site investigationsAttend required project and staff meetingsDevelop estimates for Value Engineering change proposal reviewsSupport the client in contractor and engineering negotiations

QualificationsMin 5 years’ experience in Cost EstimatingBachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Technology related field, or equivalentThorough knowledge of Railroad Construction practices is preferable but not required Experience with review of Drawings and Contract SpecificationsMust be able to effectively communicate, possess good interpersonal skills and meet deadlinesFull knowledge of computer applications as it relates to Estimation-Hard Dollar or equivalent and MS Office
