Counter Sales Associate

Counter Sales Associate Location: Dorchester, MA - Retail shop Key Responsibilities Responsible for adherence to company policies, including safety and the use of personal protective equipment. Provides excellent customer service to both internal and external partners. Ensures all required paperwork is accurately completed, including coding, costing, and pricing. Partners with customers to identify the best tools and procedures for their specific tasks; demonstrates equipment use to build customer confidence. Manages order entry and processes transactions; assists the team with reconciliation of deposits. Coordinates via phone, e‑mail, and in person with customers and team members to provide helpful information on costs and delivery. Contributes to an outgoing call strategy to support the continued growth and success of the branch. Coordinates the transfer of merchandise between locations to meet customer needs. Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a supportive manner with customers, vendors, and colleagues. Stocks shelves and maintains welcoming showroom displays to provide an excellent customer experience. Coordinates cylinder movement and pallet organization. Required Qualifications HS Diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 2+ years of experience in product, warehouse, or sales environments (or equivalent combination of education and life experience). Excellent customer service skills and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced setting. Experience in industrial retail, inside sales, or inventory control is a plus. Attention to detail in handling transactions. Availability for occasional overtime when the team needs extra support. Must be able to operate in a drug‑free workplace. Preferred Qualifications Background in gas, welding, or safety supplies. Familiarity with SAP, Google, or MS Office applications. Detailed understanding of SAP and PROS functionalities. Ability to communicate clearly and warmly with a wide variety of people from different backgrounds. Benefits Hourly Pay: $21‑$25/hr Monday – Friday; no weekend work. Hours: 6:30 am‑4 pm.
