The Pyramid Care Behavioral Health Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a fully remote capacity. Ideal candidates will hold licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW and bring a compassionate approach to their work while being committed to improving the mental health of our diverse clientele. This position offers an annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, along with a sign-on bonus, rewarding your valuable contributions to our organization.

As a member of a dedicated outpatient team, you will work in an inclusive and collaborative online environment, utilizing advanced electronic health record (EHR) systems like AVATAR to streamline client management and documentation processes. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations for new clients, ensuring to document the assessment process from initial intake to treatment conclusion.
\n
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment and recovery plans based on comprehensive evaluations and ongoing assessments.
\n
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities to effectively support client progress.
\n
• Regularly monitor and document client progress, and adjust treatment strategies as needed to align with therapeutic goals.
\n
• Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team of mental health professionals, including primary care physicians, psychiatrists, and social workers, to provide integrated care.
\n
• Work with external providers to manage client referrals and ensure continuity of care.
\n
• Engage with family members and caregivers, providing guidance on how to support clients during their mental health journey.
\n
• Identify potential barriers to clients' recovery, and develop strategies to mitigate these challenges proactively.

The clients you will serve come from varied socioeconomic backgrounds and present a wide array of mental, behavioral, and emotional health challenges. Our outpatient services cater to individuals, couples, families, and groups, allowing tailored approaches to mental health that address both unique needs and shared experiences. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor, preferably in an outpatient setting.
\n
• Proficient understanding of electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, and a solid grasp of privacy regulations.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with individuals facing co-occurring physical and emotional health conditions, as well as substance use disorders.
\n
• Knowledge of the latest therapeutic practices promoted by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Familiarity with psychotropic medications and their implications for mental health treatment.
\n
• Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
