    As a Claims Consultant within our Group space for our Aware fund, you will manage life insurance claims from start to finish, providing a seamless experience for our customers.

    In this role you will:
    • A key focus of this role involves providing a best-in-class customer and client (e.g. advisers, trustees, fund administrators) experience, including regular communication in relation to the status of claims and managing expectations, to deliver on quality health and claim outcomes. 
    • Independently manage a portfolio of TPD and IP claims end-to-end
    • Assess, analyse, calculate and finalise claims payments
    • Active engagement of external treating doctors, rehabilitation consultants as well as in house medical and legal specialists and delivering timely outcomes for our customer
    • Provide exceptional customer service in accordance with our philosophy, policy and claims procedures
    • Participate in case conferences, peer case discussions, and instructing third party service providers
    • Life insurance claims management experience within Group policy - IP and/or TPD claims experience is ideal OR;
    • Workers Compensation or Return to Work claims management experience with an Allied Health background 
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving & time-management skills
    • Excellent communication & empathy to support customers during challenging times.
    • Solid understanding of injuries, illnesses and treatment
