Accounting Supervisor

Financial Management of all the properties in your portfolio. Reviews the work of Property Accountants, Accounting Associate, and AP / AR Accountants. Analyzes a variety of accounting data including cash requirements, cash distributions, accounting journal entries, general ledger accounts, general ledger work-papers, commercial management sheets, CAM and RET recovery billings and all other work performed by the Property Accountants, Accounting Associates, and AP / AR Accountants. Manage communication and requests of client and/or capital partners.
TYPICAL JOB DUTIES:
Financial Management of all the properties in your portfolio means that you ensure that mortgage payments, real estate payments and insurance payments are made timely and accurately recorded. Review monthly financial statements and general ledger work-papers for properties in his/her portfolio. Review financial workpapers and ensure compliance with client requirements Review Common Area Maintenance quarterly and/or annual tenant billings for properties in his/her portfolio. Respond to inquiries and requests for additional information. Review Real Estate Tax quarterly and/or semi-annual tenant billings for properties in his/her portfolio. Respond to inquiries and requests for additional information. Manage client relationship for all financially related items Respond to questions pertaining to year-end work with outside auditors for properties in his/her portfolio. Review water quarterly and/or semi-annual tenant billings for properties in his/her portfolio. Monitor and maintain the Financial Statement, CAM, RET and Percentage Rent Control Sheets to assure that they are up to date and accurately reflect the Accounting Department activity. Monitor and maintain the Property Information Sheets to make sure that they are up to date and accurately reflect all property specific information. Perform other various duties from time to time as directed by Vice President of Finance, as they see fit, in fulfillment of the Accounting Department responsibilities. Reporting Relationships: Reports directly to the VP of Accounting Qualifications: Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance and a minimum of seven years of related experience.
