Program Support Specialist

Overview Are you interested in providing administrative support to prepare graduates for careers in Alaska’s health care industry? The School of Allied Health is seeking two Program Support Specialists with strong attention to detail, customer service, and excellent communication skills to join our team. Responsibilities Provide students, Program Directors, and staff with administrative support. Serve as the first point of contact for students and faculty. Provide initial program information by phone and email, direct students to appropriate faculty, track student and program information, and process paperwork prior to university deadlines. Assist with event planning, office inventories, distributing program supplies, scheduling meetings and taking notes, and communicating student concerns to faculty. Schedule classes, reserve rooms, and assist the nine Program Directors with a variety of duties. Qualifications High School graduation and three years progressively responsible experience in general office procedures and use of standard office equipment. Position Details This position is located on the University of Alaska campus in Anchorage. It is a front-facing in-person position with no hybrid or remote options. This is a full-time, non-exempt staff position with a competitive salary and a full employee benefits package. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 77, based on education and experience.
