A confidential Florida plaintiff-side litigation firm is seeking an Associate Attorney with approximately 2 to 6 years of experience to support a busy personal injury and medical malpractice practice. This is a hands-on role for a litigation-minded attorney who wants meaningful responsibility across the full case lifecycle, from early strategy through resolution.

THE ROLE

• Support matters from inception through resolution, including strategy and case planning.
• Draft substantive motions and briefs, including dispositive motion practice where appropriate.
• Manage discovery, including written discovery, document review, and coordination with experts as needed.
• Prepare for and take depositions of parties and witnesses and, where applicable, experts.
• Prepare for and participate in hearings and mediations.
• Contribute to damages development, negotiation planning, and trial preparation as cases progress.

LOCATION, SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION

Location:

Palm Beach County area, Florida.

Schedule:

On-site initially during onboarding and training, then hybrid with 3 days per week in office.

Compensation:

Base salary range: $90,000 to $110,000.

REQUIREMENTS

• 2 to 6 years of litigation experience.
• Florida Bar admission in good standing.
• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Experience handling key litigation stages, including case management, motion practice, depositions, hearings, and mediation.
• Strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills, including drafting substantive motions.
• Good academic performance.
• Participation in activities such as mock trial, moot court, law review, or similar.
• Willingness to work on-site initially during onboarding and training.

PREFERRED BACKGROUND

• Medical malpractice experience.
• Trial experience or meaningful trial preparation experience.
• Experience taking substantive depositions, particularly of experts or parties (not only defending depositions).
• Ability to provide writing samples or deposition transcripts demonstrating substantive work.
• Clerkship experience (appreciated but not required).
