Ophthalmology Biller

About this position Description: Tayani Institute is seeking a dynamic, experienced, energetic and knowledgeable full-time Ophthalmology Biller experience to work in our growing and thriving Ophthalmology/Optometry practice. Our practice provides a broad array of ophthalmology, optometry, optical, and plastic surgery services. We are a high volume, fast paced practice offering competitive compensation and benefits. Benefits for full-time employees include health insurance (medical, dental, vision), PTO and profit-sharing plan. (This is not a remote position, on-site presence is required) Duties & Responsibilities: Working insurance and patient A/R Posting insurance payments Daily billing: HMO, Medicare, PPO, vision Answer phones, address patient billing questions and resolve Follow daily task, and manage time appropriately PM22 Requirements:
- Team player and willing to share all applicable knowledge
- The ability to work independently, and confident
- Minimum 3 years experience with Optical billing (required)
- Knowledge of how PPO, HMO, Medi-Cal & Medicare works
- Understand medical benefits, and how to verify and calculate benefits
- Experience with Nextgen software (preferable)
- Customer service oriented. Comfortable addressing patient concerns regarding their accounts.
