Registered Nurse – NICU

Spokane, WA | Acute Care

Contract | Nights | 4×12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Weekends required (variable)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) setting with patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3 depending on acuity
• Maintain safe, high-quality nursing care in accordance with unit protocols and standards
• Float between units or sister facilities as needed based on staffing requirements
• Participate in holiday coverage, with an expectation to work 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• Complete required modules prior to start and during orientation as part of onboarding

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license required; Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of NICU experience required
• 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required during the compliance process and prior to start (may include Charge RNs or Leads)
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays
• All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at the time of submission; post-offer RTO requests may not be considered or granted
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a standard traveler (locals are considered under a separate rate structure)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-acuity NICU environment with varying patient ratios
• Familiarity with travel contract expectations, including flexibility with floating and scheduling
• Prior experience in a large health system or multi-facility network is a plus
