Job Opportunity – Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse – North Carolina

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM), 36 or 48-hour weekly contracts available, every other weekend required, floating as needed

Highlights:

• Contract lengths from 13 to 26 weeks available
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6 with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Epic charting system with Pyxis medication dispensing and SBAR communication protocols
• 41-bed unit caring for adult and geriatric medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Comprehensive 24-hour orientation program with additional first-week hospital orientation
• Experience with COVID isolation protocols, heparin drips, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, insulin titration, and wound care

Requirements:

• Active North Carolina or Compact RN license
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing
• First-time travelers accepted; charge experience preferred
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Skills required: blood product administration, heparin protocols, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, isolation precautions/PPE, IV insulin protocols, non-invasive airway management, PCA pumps, peripheral line management, insulin drip titration, wound care/wound vac management, and IV heparin drips
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Must be available to work during catastrophic events, mass casualty situations, or disasters as part of Storm Team/Hurricane Team assignments
